A Legendary disc? (06:45 PM EST): In the latest Ask Ladycat column below,
there's some information about a possible Legend of Galactic Heroes region 2
DVD release. Now, I know that there are a good chunk of anime fans out there
like myself who simply finds this series to be top of the shelf but know
it's probably doomed from ever being licensed here in the US. According the
the gentleman who sent in the information, the company in Japan who owns the
rights to the show is that "they're waiting to do dvd until they can get an
international (read: multi-lingual) release out". Could this be another of
the rare bunch of region 2 discs that will have English subtitles? Those who
can read Japanese sites may want to check out where this came from
(www.ginei.com) and find out if there's a way to express the interest of
those outside of Japan for a multi-lingual release. I'd love to pay import
prices for this release!
That would be SO cool...for us with Region 2 DVD players at least. :)
