Ack, I wrote more than that - where'd it go ???
Anyway, I'm 35 and have a BA, major = French, minor in Latin and I have a JD from the University of Kansas Law School.
Todd of Central Anime (Kansas) nagged me unmercifully for about 2 years to come to his showings while he was a customer of mine at Prairie Dog Comics. Once he finally got me there, I was hooked on anime and then manga. Not long after getting me generally hooked, he showed a multigenerational copy of "My Conquest is the Sea of Stars" and I was hopelessly smitten by Yang Wenli and LOGH. I then nagged him in return for anything
else he might have, but alas he only had an equally multi gen copy of 1-4. Within a year I started getting the first series LDs one by one from Nikaku, the first before I got around to buying an LD player. =p
I did manage some payback though for my addiction - Todd had to haul boxes 2 and 4 from Tokyo to Wichita for me (separately of course)as well as picking the 2d movie and OVA for me. I got the 2d box from Tokyo via another friend, Hiroaki, and hauled home the Gaiden myself on my 2d trip to Tokyo.
I now own over 200 LDs and 600+ manga volumes thanks to Todd. My tastes range from Touch to Kenshin to Card Captor Sakura to Initial D to Yakumo Tatsu and on and on - sports, horror, shoujo - as long as its got a good story and characters - and of course LOGH has that in spades !!!
