Okay. Time out.
In a plot-intensive series such as LoGH, spoilers can be critical.
There are people who don't mind spoilers.
There are people who hate spoilers.
This mailing list is for _both_ types of people. To accomodate both
groups, that is why we have spoiler warnings.
For future reference:
The safe thing to do, as somebody mentioned, if you see a "vague" spoiler,
is to just delete it without opening it. (like I did with the original
message)
For those members using email programs that by default display
messages in a "preview mode" such as Outlook, I'm sure there's a setting
you can change that will display message headers only.
Or perhaps, you could consider using a different email program/account to
read list email, if spoiler avoidance is that important.
The best solution, of course, is just for everybody to watch the entire
series so we can all discuss it freely. ^_^ <-- Note the smiley, that
was a joke.
I think the new list member who posted made an genuine effort to warn us
about spoilers, but just left out a detail, and we let him/her know about
it. Fair enough, he/she now knows.
So let's go back to talking about LoGH, shall we?
