Let me know what you think so far: 1.) Scale - (kinda fudged but works well on a wargaming table) - 1/4 = light second =3D 1 inch 2.) Ships are individual counters, fighters are 4 fighters =3D 1 = counter. 3.) Ships are in ranks, just like in battlesystem (for troops), 1st = and 2nd ranks may fire (2nd rank is assumed to 'fire around' the first = rank. 4.) Here's my stats for an Imperial Standard Battleship: Armor Rating = (out of 10, higher is worse) 7; # of Hits 2; Morale (out of 20, higher = is better) 15; Movement maximum 6" per turn; Armament: Neutron Beam = Cannons - Attack Dice 1D8, range (short/medium/long) = 1-40"/41-60"/61-80"; Tactical Nuke - Attack Dice 2D6, range 50", blast = radius 1D4+1 inches, damages all targets in radius for 2D6, payload 1 = per ship; Anti-Fighter Gattling Beam Cannons: Attack Dice 1D6, range 2", = can fire up to twice per round at same/different targets; fighter = complement 2 Valkyrie units (8 fighters total, 4 per each "unit"). -To understand this stuff, dig out a copy of the AD&D Battlesystem = 2nd Edition - if you're an ex-AD&D nerd like me from years back, you'll = probably hae one floating around somewhere :) Feedback MOST welcome. = Thanks for reading! = Ben Schmidt = gorilla@nycap.rr.com
