Summing up: some hardheads want to believe that U.S. didn't lose so badly in
that attack, and military brass want to save face and regain some pride from
it... end result? Hollywood made Pearl Harbor to satisfy their need.
you know, I read that military was very supportive to this project. Mainly
because they had to get some more people to fly their planes, so they
decided that PH would be next 'Top Gun' for air force recruitment.
Its frustrating because from what I hear about international opinions of
the US, I've gradually put together a pretty ugly picture. This movie may be
seen by others as nothing more than another movie for the
self-aggrandizement of US as an arrogant super power.
I can confirm this, no offense meant.

p.s: I could use some advice about places to visit in Japan, now that I will
be there for three weeks. If you could answer to my email
(simpi79@hotmail.com) I would appreciate it very much.
Also, does anybody know about a place called Mandrake (I heard it's a huge
manga/anime warehouse somewhere in Tokyo)
