Hi all! Today I was lucky enough to go to an art sale/exhibition here in
Kochi city. It featured a variety of different styles of art and artists
(not limited to manga!), but two of the main artists were Haruhiko Mikimoto
and Yoshitaka Amano. The work for sale was mostly signed, limited edition
prints (some of them were absolutely gorgeous!). But what immediately
caught my attention was something else entirely. I saw Reinhart staring at
me from across the gallery! It was a limited edition (160 total) work by
Katsumi Michihara!! It was titled "Reinhart von Lohengram", signed (with a
little heart mark next to her name! ^^), and I assume it was some kind of
print (the sign said "mixed media"). I've seen the image before on the
front of one of the manga volumes, I think. It cost 280,000 yen (about
$2500 USD). If I only had an extra 300,000 yen lying around, I would have
bought it in an instant. ^_^

Oh well, I'll just have to be happy with my free Macross DYRL poster and
the Dare Yan-da doujinshi I got in the mail today.
