Well I too am back from Worldcon and just wanted to write one more asdditional brief blurb on the film presentation, which happened Sunday morning after I sent my last note. Despite some initial technical concerns having to do with the format of the film (which, frankly, I didn't understand) things went off without a hitch Sunday morning. The print was clear and bright - you could see the dust flecks on some cels and the extra layer of detail in some of the images in Yang and Reinhard. The sound system was little off, giving too much echo in the room IMHO but this was a minor nit. The only problem was perhaps with the timing of the presentation. Sunday at 11am is never a great time to get good attendance for things at a con. Nevertheless I'd say we had over 60 people in the theater, and many applauded at the end. At least one person, a friend of a friend who had never seen LoGH before, turned around and cursed us that now she would have to go out and get all the fansubbed episodes! Which was the point of the exercise! ^_^ As our fellow list corresponent "rein" was in costume, several friends and I offered a hearty "Sieg Kaiser!" when she entered the room. Always nice to be able to do that. :) -- ============================================================================== "Zu jeder Zeit, an jeder (sic) Ort, bleibt das Tun | Walter Amos der Menschen das gleiche..." - Galactic Heroes II | amos(at)sedl.org
