Re: [LoGH] Command

The answer to this question, I believe, depends on what you believe in.
Schenkopp fought with his own personal conviction until he dropped,
literally. Yang became the guardian of a moribund political ideal. A great
man who dedicated himself against infinitesimal odd of success, Yang
ultimately left his passion and unfinished work to Julian.

Conversely, the commanders in the Imperial side had only one goal:
unification of the universe. No one really had any idea what to do next
once unification was accomplished. To me, many of them were career
opportunists, except maybe a handful of the highest ranking admirals
(Reinhard, Sigfried, and Mittermeyer).

For me, I would rather fight under the leadership of Yang. Not for power or
a great command, but to fight for this latent idea of nobility. By doing
so, I might be able to transcend beyond mortality by leaving honorable
legacies for those who are born after my demise.
