I always pictured Yurika Misamaru from Nadesico as one of those Alliance
commanders who appeared on the screen just long enough to be blown up:
Yurika: Akito Akito Akito Akito Akito! Biiiiiiiiiiiiii!
Adjutant: Enemy missiles approaching!
Yurika: Huh? Missiles? Where?
Ruri Hoshino, on the other hand I see more of a serious type, not unlike
Adelbert Farenheit in both appearance and demeanor:
Adjutant: Admiral, we have completely surprised the Rebel fleet!
Ruri (stoically): baka baka.
