Hi,

It frightens me more than a little to use Schindler's list to know the
Wehrmacht grades!!!

>> I agree. It would make sense for the German ranks to be copied.

So do I, but don't you think this game is going a little bit too far?

We are beginning to sound like neo-nazis with this kind of fascination for
the german army.

Off course, we are GED fans, but I don't think this debate is still in
touch with GED.

I know that Tanaka-san makes a lot of references to pre-WW2 Germany, but
isn'it more to Frederick II's Prussia or even to Whilhelm II's Germany? (I
don't think it's written correctly, sorry)

By the way, the same ranks are used for the Reich and for the Free Planets
which leads me to think that they just use Japanese army grades without any
other reference, even if these grades as you said probably originates from
the XIXth century's german army.

To me , it is not impossible that Tanaka-san has some fascination for the
3rd Reich, but it is not and I think you agree the most interesting part of
GED. And I must remind you that the 3rd Reich do not have the same meaning
for Japanese. For them, it is just part of foreign history...

So , I think maybe we should close this never-ending discussion about ramks
which leads us so far from our main interest. (Is it really your main
concern when you look at the series to know if Schenkopp is an Admiral, a
general or a bertender ?)

---

Well, to speak about more rejoicing matters, do you know how many episodes of the 4th season have been released? And how much do they cost?
