That's strange. At the Anime Club here at my alma mater (Cal-Animage
Alpha, University of California), LoGH got a very good reception. The
first time they showed it, they showed like three episodes, then stopped
the tape and asked the crowd if they wanted to see more. Although there
were a few "this is a cheap ripoff of Star Wars" comments, the crowd
seemed to be generally positive, so they resumed playing the tapes. After
the showing was over, they asked for general feedback and it was good
enough that they scheduled another special showing. I think they
eventually showed the first twelve episodes. So don't get discouraged your
mileage will vary by the anime appreciation level of the audience.

This wouldn't be Anime Fanatics would it? The reason I ask is because AF
is planning a feature on "epic" animes and I was hoping they'd include
LoGH among them.

Please excuse me while I put on my ignorant anime fan hat. But I've always
considered LoGH a shonen anime. Isn't "shoujo" stuff like Marmalade Boy,
Wedding Peach, Blue-Green Years, etc?
