Okay, this one would be set towards the beginning of the second series.
Julian, who wants to be a Spartanian pilot, is on his first mission.
However, since his cat is about to have kittens, he can't bear to leave
it behind. However, the captain of his ship finds out about the cat and
get extremely upset. He orders the cat to be removed from the ship, but
no one can catch it. Therefore, he orders Julian to spend the entire
mission in one of those sleep capsules. However, someone on the ship
accidentally hits the wrong button, and everyone on the ship is
vaporized. With no one to wake him up, Julian sleeps peacefully for
several thousand years until the ship's computer wakes him up. Somehow,
his cat managed to survive, and he makes fiends with one of the nth
generation decendents of his cat who somehow has evolved into a rather
humanoid form. Now, alone with his Cat and a hologram of Oliver Poplan,
he flies his ship on alone towards earth to see if somewhere in the
universe mankind still exists.
Seriously, this one could work!
Actually, what couls really work would be a Dr. Who/LoGH crossover.
Hmmm.
