Doujinshi

This past weekend I got two volumes of LoGH doujinshi. They're big,
thick books, and they have color jackets and color pinups in the fronts
of the books. The title (as best I can figure from kanji guides and
dictionaries) is Zen Kan Shutsugeki!! which I translated as All
Warships make a Sortie!! but since that doesn't exactly fall trippingly
from the tongue my mom suggested Sally Forth All Ships!! ^_^ I seem to
have gotton volumes one and three. It looks like there are fan fics in
addition to manga. Yet another reason to learn to read Japanese
better!! ^_^ Some of the manga stories are REALLY nice. More than a
few are major spoilers about things that happen at the end of the
series, so I'm glad I didn't get these books earlier. They were
published in 1992 and 1993. Does anyone have volume 2? Does anyone
know if there are more than 3 volumes? Does anyone know if they are
still available anywhere? Where else are you going to see Reinhard et
al done as Samurai in Feudal Japan and have the ghosts of dead
characters return for closure? ^_^
Does anyone want a scan of the cover of volume 3? I scanned it in
yesterday for fun. It's a little funny at the edges and on certain
parts since I only have a hand scanner and I had to scan it in 4 pieces
and stich it together.
Also recently I got a Snappy. As soon as I had it set up I grabbed my
copy of the 2nd movie and started doing frame grabs. I love that thing
-- one of the best little pieces of computer equipment I ever bought.
Now large beautiful pics of Yang grace my desktop. I also grabbed a
couple of Kircheis and Reinhard. I need to play with it some more and
experiment a little. Any requests? ^_^
