Mobile Suit Gundam: More juicy facts for what's shaping up to be the hottest sci-fi TV
series of next season.

* Jill Hennessey has finally signed onboard and is working out her payment details right
now. Scott Glenn has read for his role and is interested "if the money is right", while
Magnum PI star Jean Bruce Scott has signed to play the Cima Fleet Rear Admiral for at
least 12 episodes.

* The pilot episode is named "Endgame", and TJ has provided tons of detail. A new
operation by Neo-Jion has put Earth Forces on alert as new fighting in the outer colonies
has finally come to Earth. This episode focuses on an offensive to drop a colony on Earth.
The Neo Jion forces succeed in pushing a colony into the earth's atmosphere and destroying
the western half of the United States. That is where the United Earth Government has been
secretly constructing a doomsday weapon: the MSC Galaxy. The Galaxy is being constructed
at what today is Vandenberg Air Force Base, and to save the ship from destruction, they
launch the it before the colony arrives. The story deals with the battle to save earth and
ultimately helplessly watch as western North America is leveled. The back story focuses on
Commander Claire O'Brien assigned to the MSC Albion and the mutiny of her Iron Cross
squardron to the Neo_Jion and her decision to remain loyal to the Federation.

* There are 3 Gundam Frames in the pilot. There are 2 core fighters and at least 100 more
mobile suits being added to the background shots.

* Sony Imageworks is doing the bulk of the ship animation as well as some of the Gundam
work. Digital Domain and Banned from the Ranch are doing the cockpit work.

* There is almost a 55 minutes of animation in the pipeline for a 90 minute run time.
