If I remember it correctly, according to the novel (Chinese edition) the
events took place in the following sequence :

	(i)	Kircheis joined force with Reinhardt
	(ii)	Kircheis and Reinhardt quarrelled
(iii)	Kircheis took command of the imperial space force in the
		final siege of Geiersberg.

Kircheis should look sad rather than angry when Reinhardt said "What are
you to me ?" to stop him pursuing the argument. Also, the author never
mentioned Oberstein saying anything to aggravate Kircheis in the novel.
To think Oberstein should use such stupid tactics to alienate Kircheis
is an insult to his intelligence.

The manga is a poor representation of the original work. Michihara Katsumi
does not understand the characters and why things happened. If you have
no access to the novel, refer to the anime when there is any doubt.
