LoGH cddb project

Recently in my work we got new workstations installed (Sun Ultra5s),
which have a nice handy cdrom drive on the front of the machine. As a
result we've set up the xmcd cd player software that allows us to play
music cds through the drive (yay!) But one neat thing about xmcd is
that it accesses an online databse called cddb which allows it recognize
a huge list of cds and displays the cd and track titles and additional
info for the cd.
The information in cddb database (which you can check out at
www.cddb.com) is mostly entered by ordinary folks.
I have taken it upon myself to try and make up an entry for the LoGH
series 1 and 2 original bgm cd (the 1991 one from Kitty records,
KTCR-1111) which has the OP and ED themes from the first 2 series and
the Alliance anthem and Imperial fanfare. Before I submit this to the
database though I could use a little more info if anyone has this cd
and can translate the japanese. I'd like to get the specific artist or
composer for each of the tracks and the correct names of the tracks
with the Alliance anthem and Imperial fanfare (that's just what *I*
call them), tracks 3 and 4. Thanks to Ming's and Lee's web pages I
have the correct names for the other tracks.
If you want to submit entries you can do so if you have a cddb
capable cd player software for your computer. On their web page you
will find a variety of compatible and freely downloadable software for
various OSes (plenty of Win95/98 and NT ones, as well as some for
MacOS, BeOS, Linux, and others.) You need to have the actual cd to
enter data because in order to recognize the individual cd the software
constructs a unique identifier based on the total number and precise
length in frames of each track.
I think this would be nice for many of the LGH cds that are mostly
classical, to identify the various specific classical pieces, but for
the ones I am not already familiar with, again, we'd need someone with
the cd to translate the Japanese titles.
