You forgot to mention how great this booklet is. Spoiler filled though
it is, it's really stunning artwork; not the random and sometimes upside
down pictures from the Town Mook.

I don't suppose Hawaii counts as the North American continent. By sheer
coincidence last Friday I was browsing for buried treasure in
rec.arts.anime.marketplace when I came across a message from a fellow in
Hawaii who found a Galactic Heroes 3 CD box set in some discount bin
with Crayon Shin-Chan fanny packs or some-such thing. He revealed
that...

And thanks to your post, I've now completed my soundtrack collection.
At least it was complete before this new series started (Is there a
soundtrack for the 2nd movie?).

I don't mean to drive the subject off topic, but on receiving the CD's
today (it's spinnng in my CDROM drive right now, it's really good!) I
confirmed that it is an SM CD from Taiwan. This should be ample
explanation why Howard found the CD in Chinatown, and not Japantown. In
Japantown, the CD should retail for $50, at penny to the Yen exchange
rates, but $15 is about average for an SM 3 CD set. While I don't
endorse SM for not paying any royalties to Japan or LoGH producers, it's
the only way I can get this soundtrack and the one for the first movie.
I believe these are also the only SM LoGH CDs for sale, strangely
enough. It's not for lack of looking for the legitimate product or the
price difference between Japanese and Chinese product; Jennifer can
attest that I bought the 4th season CD collection at last year's A-Kon
because the typeface was "shiny!"

A search of the internet should turn up a few listings of SM CD dealers
in the US. The one I dealt with for the first movie CD had to order it,
but it only took a few weeks. Just give them the serial number, and
they can find it.
