Java IRC client (for #logh, of course)

A while back, I remember some ppl on the ML saying that they could not
access the #logh IRC channel (or IRC in general) because of firewall
restrictions. Well, an aquaintence of mine has put up a Java IRC client on
his website, which should enable anybody with a Java-enabled browser to do
IRC, with or without a firewall.

The following instructions are more for ppl new to IRC. Those of you who
are familiar with IRC should find the settings fairly self-explanatory.

In the opening screen:

Ident: the login portion of the internet account you use to access the
net. For example, if you're logged into your organization's network as
oberstein@empire.mil, then oberstein is your Ident.

Nick: the nickname (handle) you want to use on IRC.

Real Name: self explanatory.

Click Submit.

A dialog box might appear asking you to "accept a certificate
allowing online access" or something to that effect.

Accept this certificate.

A second setup page appears.

For Channel: enter logh (without the #, this is automatically added for
you)

Edit Nick Name and Real Name fields if desired.

For Server Name, use the default or enter any other EFNet IRC server.
Leave all other fields as is.

Click Connect Now! to log on. After a brief pause you should be logged in!

Remember, channel #logh is most active between noon and 6pm PDT. If you
log in at some other time we might just be idling or sleeping...

hope to see some more of you soon...
-Hank
