gainax had no reason to make evangelion region 0 but they did anyways.
it's a matter of taking advantage of the format. it costs more but if you
can pull in international sales (even at the high prices japanese dvd's go
for) it may be worth it. think of the fun people would have at a con
panel if they could bring in a subbed dvd.
