Sorry for breaking in. I am Kenneth, not Mark, but also a great fans of
LoGH. I've read the chinese edition of the novels for over 4 times
since 1990. The name of this series of novels is just the same as its
Japanes titles. The novels are published by a Taiwan publisher called
Sharp Point. The first edition (I've bought it) was published in 1991
with the release of one volume every month (there are 20 volumes in
total). As there are too many translating "bugs" in the first edition,
Sharp Point started to re-published it since Mid-1994. The last (20th)
volume was released in Jan 1996 and the publisher announces that she
will release the add-on parts of LoGH!

It seems that you can read Chinese, so have you play LoGH III SP and the
newly released LoGH IV EX? These are PC games based on the LoGH novels.
 They are actually great games.

Regards,
Kenneth Choi
