Re: Favorite ship?

Problem is Length of the Particle Accelerator only
limits range. We could have a number of short
cannons,
but we could pump huge amount of power into them to
produce powerful beams. Hum, here is a thought. Most
of the Imperial ships seem to have cannons that could
run the full length of the ship. While most FPA have
more cannons, but most seem to only run 1/3 or less
the length. Since energy beams difuse as it travels,
the FPA may have more cannons, but they have a curved
damage/range ratio. While, Imperial cannons with it's
full hull length could have a flat damage/range ratio.
So at full combat distance their combine firepower
may be the same. Actually the imperials may even have
a advantage at long range combat, while the FPA have
the advantage when they are in a close in slug feast.
Now this could also be related to fighters. Since
Fighters are short range combat weapons. The
imperials maybe compensating their battleships'
limited short range capability with extra fighters,
and the Bliz. assult ships. While the FPA want to
maximize their short range power with Carriers with
lots and lots of fighters.

I don't know what the maximum range of Imperial
cannons are, but their effective range is like 4
million km...

Now could someone tell me why most of the FPA
commanders forget to launch their fighters?

Also, any thoughts about the food on these ships?
