Hi Minasama!
This show has turned into some weird obsession for me, as I've been on =
a fast-track to watch the whole thing and am now on my last tape to rent.=
^_^ I'm still terrified that it'll be a WTF!? Gundam ending, but I'm to=
o committed now & can't back out now. ;-O Also picked up the 1st volume =
of Gaidens, something about a Vanfleet engagement with too mcuh talking &=
not enough ppl being killed. ;-> Not sure about the title: Something l=
ike "billions of stars, thousand million points of light" (sounds like so=
mething Carl Sagan & Prez Bush Sr. might come up with).
Before I finish the main series, let me recap what's happened so far; f=
air warning now, the foregoing will have more spoilers than a 747 wing or=
ricecar traffic jam...

Reinhart has become emperor and unified the galaxy, but now things are qu=
ickly unravelling:
Yang, one of the most important protagonists, is dead, RIP. ;_; Julian no=
w has to fill in for him as resident strategic genius as everyone expects=
him to channel Yang's thoughts from beyond the grave or something..
Lutz, Patorichev, Fischer, Reuental, and a bunch of other ppl I can't rem=
ember at the moment are dead.
Kircheis is still dead -- yeah yeah, I know that's old news but lots of p=
pl STILL aren't over him, and if this were Marvel Comics he'd be resurrec=
ted twice by now. ^_-
Fahrenheit is dead, he couldn't take the heat anymore! ;-> Unfortunately=
, he kicked the bucket before Alliance Admiral Celsius & Captain Kelvin c=
ould challenge him... ^^
The Earth Church's movement of "Terraism" (or "terrorism," I see little d=
ifference) is being naughty, setting off their bombs or zephyr particle e=
xplosions left, right, & center spreading death & chaos everywhere! ;-O =
In response, martial law has been declared in Heinessen & elsewhere, and =
now citystreets are crawling with gestapo. -_-
The remnants of the former FP Alliance led by Yang's widow Frederica are =
camped out in Iserlohn, fending off attacks from both sides.
Speaking of the Death Star, it's just fine thanks for asking ;-) still in=
brisk business doing what it does best, which is making widows & orphans=
beyond counting...
Now if all that weren't enough, this other incident went down which would=
almost be comical if not for the serious consequences: Admiral Bit-off-=
more-than-he-can-chew Bittenfeld took offense at something Oberstein said=
at a meeting and pounced trying to throttle him! (not that he didn't des=
erve it) After the other admirals pulled him off in this Jerry Springer-=
ish scene, Oberstein immediately relieved Bittenfeld of duty & placed him=
under house arrest. Violence in the workplace can't be tolerated (unles=
s it's directed against the "competition"), and Oberstein asked Muller to=
take over command of the Schwarzen Lanzenreiters . When he refused=
, I think Oberstein ordered the Black Lancer fleet DISBANDED! ;-O Next t=
hing you know, the disgruntled, fired soldiers from Bittenfeld's fleet ar=
e drinking & rioting in the streets and clashing with the already over-bu=
rdened gestapo. @_@
Basically all hell's breaking loose, and I'm reminded of a pearl of wisdo=
m from another show: "The more you tighten your grip... the more star sy=
stems will slip through your fingers."
