Let's face it - LoGH space battles are basically patterned = after traditional warfare (massive numbers on each side, in formation, = chain of command up to the leader on each side, flanking maneuvers, = charges, etc...) so what system would be PERFECT? Answer is obviously = the Battlesystem 2nd Edition by TSR! Disregarding all of the AD&D magic = rules (which are all optional anyway) it has rules for ranged combat = (intended for boys and arrows and artillery, but work perfectly for the = main neutron cannons) and all other types of combat, armor, movement, = charges, command, morale, in short EVERYTHING. It can be easily modified = so one counter can represent from one to any number of ships (to = abstractly handle large engagements) and the rules are basically very = easy to understand and use. I'm going to try a few conversions and I'll = post them if anyone's interested - I'd LOVE to hear any feedback on this = subject! Ben Schmidt gorilla@nycap.rr.com
