Men will see a decline in their hormone levels ie testosterone and LH.
They don't experience the climacterate of women (ie the suddeness of
menopause...) and they may or may not become impotent found under the
studies of A Dr. Irwin Goldstein (Health, Sept. 1993).
Impotence only affects those few that do not have sex frequently. Studies
have found that the adage "use it or lose it" have a ring of truth in male
fertility... The penis in its flaccid form is found to be less oxygenated
and if erection does not occur frequently esp in older men, impotence
occurs. The erections when sleeping to prevent urination urges are often
enough in terms of oxygenation but not later in life when arteries are
deteriorating from plaque in arteries, narrowing arteries, et al. After
that the only thing that really affects aging men and thier sexual
capacities is the anxiety in performance.
Now given Freddy's indulgence in drink and food, it might be that
his blood vessels (BVs) may have deteriorated but not likely with the type
of technology that will be available in the time of LOGH. Freddy's
indulgence in women, ie Baroness B whats her name, would probably aid to
keep his urogenitals oxygenated. The fact that he's the emperor not by
will and the fact that he's aged due to stress might prevent his
performing but they have sex therapists for cases such as those...
To break the misconception, old people do have sex. Fredrick IV
died of a heart seizure, but not heart disease. Although he knew he was
dying because of old age, he makes no mention of any illness that would
devastate him and his sex life. With 75% of elderly men and 56% of
elderly women remaining sexually active it is unfair to say that Freddy
doesn't have lead in his pencil. Besides, there are silicone implants
that are used by men... BUT I hated that part of lecture so it won't be
discussed...
