Last time I made a guess: Annerose's a virgin after those years with
Friedrich IV. In fact, it didn't come out of the blue. The following fact
led to the guess. It is the declining health of Friedrich IV during his
last years. We all know that this monarch has spent most of his energy
before he ascended the throne, at least 20 years before Annerose entered
the palace, so that when he is in his 60s (when our Legend begins), he
looks like in his 90s. We can guess resonably that when Annerose started
to serve him (10 years before the start of the Legend), he looks like in
his 70s or 80s. That he can do that sort of thing to Annerose on his bed
(forgive this kind of vulgar language again!) will surprise anyone.
