for those of you who didn't catch this Microsoft reference, bill gates
has been talking about a "wallet PC" that will handle eMoney transactions
for you electronically. walter and i have jokingly referred to such a
device as a "bill-fold".
personally, i've wondered from time to time what would happen if bill
gates became a self-styled "rudolf" of sorts. he is the closest to
becoming the most powerful and wealthiest man on earth as anyone ever has.
and he does control some 90% of the world's computers, upon which the world
has become increasingly dependent on for commerce, communication, and
government.
heck, he's even been investing heavily in bio-tech/genetics companies
and patents. so who knows? ;-) i wonder if there's already an "arle
heinessen" ready to give us an alternative!
