The question I raised regarding to the ability of the Alliance Admirals
were different to those fought against Napoleon. Napoleon faced enemy
who were given the power regarding to their blood rather than their
ability. However, in a democractic system, the ability is the only
thing that counts. Therefore, the inability of the Alliance Admirals
were very doubtful.
Battle of Astate is a very good example. It appeared that the
commanding system in Alliance side is not bad but non-existed. All
three fleets were under vice-admirals. No body out ranked everybody.
No body dared to take control. There wasn't even a regional battle
commander. Everybody followed a plan without alternatives in mind. For
any soldier, those were fatal errors. I wanted to question how the heck
did those vice-admirals got to their rank without being killed. Warfare
is an old profession. They were like kids. No wondered they were all
killed and injuried.
I guess you guys have read my post on those errors for alliance so I am
not going to repeat the same old words. Next time I will talk about the
Empire.
