Hello,
Mike told us (me especially) a few days ago that some "bloody names
(can't be got) right without a list sitting here in front of"
[him]. This motivates me to post a short checklist of the "tricky" names
here. Everyone is welcomed. I hope you will find it helpful when
you are writing about these characters (of the Reich) in your messages
to this mailing list.

The names you most need:
Reinhard von Lohengramm
Siegfried Kircheis
Annerose von Gruenwald *
Hildegarde von Mariendorf
(The above four names are trivial. I include them here for the sake of
completeness. The following are less trivial.)
Franz von Mariendorf (Hilde's father of course)

The three marshals:
Wolfgang von Mittermeyer
Oskar von Reuental
Paul von Oberstein

The colonel-generals:
Neithardt Mueller *
Ernst Mecklinger
Karl Robert Steinmetz
Fritz Josef Bittenfeld
Augustus Samuel Wahlen
(?) von Eisenach
Ulrich Kessler
Adelbert von Fahrenheit
Clausius Lutz
Helmut Rennenkempf
Gustaf Kempf
(I think you can match the names with the characters correctly. If
not, ask someone who has been learning German for three weeks to tell
you how to pronounce the names. Then you will know who is who.)

*: You can safely replace the "ue" with the "u" with umlaut, i.e.
two dots above the "u".

Names of some Goldenbaum Emperors:
Rudolf (the great scum, you know)
Friedrich (not Friedrik)
Erwin-Josef (the troublesome boy-king)

Name, or more precisely, titles of the arch-villains:
Lichtenlade (the prime minister of Friedrich IV)
Braunschweig (that fool!)
Littenheim (, who fire on his own troops after being defeated by
Kircheis)
Flegel (the arrogant nephew of Braunschweig)

I hope you enjoy it. Do send me your comments if you have any.

Reinhard-Siegfried
