Yeah, have to admit. The anime is very accurately detailed. Seems almost
Kubricklike in its obsession to realistic details. Love the maneuvering
nozzles that are in each ships as well as the all the nuances that gives
each ship their own distinct flavor. For me though, Imperial Valkyries
always looked like flying Pez dispensers but can't say they weren't well
though out. The Spartinians seems like ugly hard to maneuver critters in
comparison. Hard to believe that some of these guys are around for as
long as they are. What are those little block things called. You know
those imperial bombers that pack quite a whallop in terms of firepower?
Merkatz seems to use them alot. Wonder if they're specific to his units.
All of Reinhard's commanders seem to prefer the lightning strike styled
Valkyries.
Yes the uniforms are somewhat unique but like it when Reinhard is in full
dress uniform with the cape and the sashes et al. Without it, the
Imperial fashion seems kind of plain. Maybe they spend too much on those
metal shoulderpads. The Free Planets uniforms look really slick. Like
those better for some reason. Very sharp and a blend of modern height of
the fashion with military decor and flavor. Gotta wonder though... Yang
puts on his dress shirt (which probably means under shirt), his tie, his
scarf, and then his heavy coat which he zips all the way up to the top.
Maybe its cause I live in sunny CA. but doesn't it seem like they try and
conserve power by keeping these ships at say 40 degrees? Nobody ever
seems to pull these alcohol bottles out of refrigerators... and everyone
always seems to request alcohol or hot tea.
Whatever. I'm babbling...
