Another perhaps bland topic but just personal curiosity, I was hoping
someone in this group knows the size relations of the Brunhilt to the
Hyperion, to other ships, etc. Just an approximate metric figure.
I sorta figured that the standard garden variety ship is about the size of
maybe a small battleship 200m by guaging one taking off next to a controll
tower and the Valkyries next to the garden variety Free planets ships. I
know they probably come in a host of sizes like the FPA Spartinian
carriers (which are hella cool). I would have assumed that the Brunhilt
would be about that size but when Kircheis flies from Barbarosa to meet
Reinhard, there are these huge shuttle bays in the side of the Brunhilt
that suggests one big ship...
Yeah, I'm otaku. So sue me. Atleast I dunno the exact figures. Just
approximations. exp. Enterprise is ~ aircraft carrier ~ 300m.
Enterprise D ~ 650 meters roughly twice the size of its predecessor. That
makes it 1/3rd the size of a Star Destroyer (1.5 km) which is the same
size as Macross. But theres inconsistency since Macross (1.5 km) has an
aircraft carrier (Promethius) the size of... Enterprise D (artistic
license there I'm sure, those arms would look hella dumb if they were
little pegs in attack mode). Breetai's ship is four km long, two km short
of Vader's Executor. cute and fun acronyms to do at home :}
