I would like to invite all of you and your friends to share in
the newest AnimeOnline project the IRC AnimeFan Network. IRC,
Internet Relay Chat, is probably the most defining feature of the
internet...allowing people from all over the world to join and chat
with each other. I have created the first truly dedicated anime irc
server called irc.animefan.net. Bring your friends and fellow anime
colleagues over and set up a channel! The server just went online a
few days ago and we're trying to keep it small and full of cool fans.
You're all welcome.

For more information about IRC and about the server please refer to
the the website at http://animefan.net and again... thanks for your
support of the AON and its services.

I've been named Maintainer of animeclub.net, which you should have
recieved a message about. Basically, animefan.org is shelling out the
cash so that 25 or so anime clubs may have free, stable webspace. It's
4MB of space, which is plenty for a club page and assorted graphics.
The best thing in my mind is that there are NO strings attached, and you
also get CGI access and POP email.

animeonline.org is a fan-run site dedicated to promoting anime in the US,
and they're putting money from their own pockets in order to provide this
(and the rest of their) service. The best way to support them would be to
join animeclub.net and show your club's support for the project. After
neogitating several possible deals, I was able to secure this one, which is
probably the most popular.

I propose that any interested clubs sign up for this space, and get a much
easier-to-remember url (i.e. isamu.animeclub.net). Leave xoom, tripod,
geocities, or wherever else you page is now, and support an ANIME site with
your club. If you'd like to sign up, please send me a message at
thatguy@animefan.org.

For more information about the server please refer to
the the website at http://animefan.net and again... thanks for your
support of the AON and its services.
